How to verify a forex signal track record

Checklist
- Ask for the account link, not a screenshot. A provider that won't share it is unverified.
- Check the verification status. On Myfxbook, look for both the track record and trading privileges to be marked as verified. On MQL5, results come from the connected broker account.
- Look at maximum drawdown, not only total gain. A high gain with a deep drawdown means high risk of losing the account.
- Check how long the account has run. Look for at least 12 months of continuous history.
- Check deposits and withdrawals. Large deposits can make the growth curve look better than the trading was.
- Compare the account to the signals sent. The trades on the account should match what subscribers receive.
- Look at the trading style. Very high win rates with occasional huge losses often point to martingale or grid strategies.
